Self empowerment comes from obeying universal principles

Abraham Lincoln was a man that found himself smack dab in the middle of a fight he didn’t want nor create. But it was a fight he could not run away from; for it was a fight concerning a universal principle on which he should have remained inflexible. That principle was, that men and women are all equal and must be treated with the same respect; the principle of "Independence". Now this universal principle was not a man made law at that time. No laws had been written concerning slavery. So how was one to know what the truth was? If it was so universal, why did half of all Americans at that time side with the South who wanted slavery? With no law to hang your hat on, it is very easy to side any way you choose for the moment for there is always the excuse one can make “I didn’t know sir. Is there a law that says we should not enslave our fellow man?” But Universal principle nevertheless exists and it does also demand a price even when no law states so. When we go against universal principle we sin against nature and our consciousness bears witness with us that we have committed a foul deed. There really is no place to escape. You know it as well as I. You may out-wit the law, but how do you live with yourself afterwards? How do you sleep at night knowing you have committed a wrong deed? Lincoln made a decision not based on law, but based on principle, a higher principle of the universe. When we discover the universal principles in life that may or should not be broken, we should wisely conform to those principles. It is when we try to ignore those universal principles that we eventually run into a stone wall or a world of trouble. I am a teacher and in my classes when I teach I usually use an exasperating example to illustrate how universal principles work. I stand in one place and drop a pen and then pick it up again. I repeat the action. I repeat it over and over again to the point of near irritation to the participants. I then stop and explain my point. The point is that it would be rather senseless if I kept doing the same old thing wouldn't It? You just can't fight gravity. It is one of those universal principles. So I would do well to obey the law instead of trying to fight it all the time. The correct thing to do is put the pen down on a surface and when you need it again you can always pick it up again. I would save time and energy and would seem a lot less stupid wouldn’t I? Well that is true with all universal principles. The example of the universal law of gravity is an easy one to acknowledge. There are no toes to step on, no greedy pockets to be robbed, and no human pain to be inflicted. But there are other principles, some not as easy to recognize immediately but they are nevertheless important for us to observe and obey. In the case of the universal law of independence, Lincoln chose freedom over slavery because it was the right thing to do. In the end it benefited mankind by creating a space for freedom to flourish. We may not have complete freedom but we created growth in this space for all kinds of things to flourish. The industrial era began leading to the technology of mass production, mass transportation, aerospace development, computer technology global marketing, the communication era we live in today. All of this came because of freedom. We must choose the right thing to do every day. When we come up against universal laws like “Love they neighbor as thyself”, we should obey that principle. There may be no law to define in detail what actions should be taken during a special situation, but there is always the universal principle that exists. Follow the principle. Obeying universal principles is empowering. It is empowering because the universe acts in harmony with those laws. Together you and the universe conspire together to bring about good things in the space where you are. Today as you go out to face the world, make it your priority to obey universal principles. Doing so will empower you to meet your challenges and who knows what might become of that!

The secret when you can walk on water take the boat part 25

“Years passed and under the gentle guidance of the Guru, most of the disciples accomplished what they had set out to do. Finally, the shy disciple approached the Guru. ‘Master,’ said he, ‘I have toiled and practiced without ceasing, lo, these many years. See that city across the river? I can now walk on the water and go over to the city. Master, I have overcome. I can walk on water.’ “Looking at the young disciple the old master sadly asked,‘Why did you not take the boat? You would have saved so much time.’ ” “John, when you know you can walk on water, you generally can take the boat.” Somewhat unclear about the main point of the story, I mumbled an inaudible “Oh,” but didn’t ask for an explanation. I don’t always like to listen to riddles or parables and Gideon certainly had a lot of them. I prefer plain talk. I asked about the people we’d be meeting today. “I made all the necessary arrangements,”he said. “You’re expected.” “Are they business associates of yours?” “Business associates and friends, also.” “Do you think I’ll be able to get some help for my company?” “A definite possibility,” he replied. “You know we need a loan to continue our operations. Maybe they'd be willing to help us out in this situation?” “Perhaps.” He seemed to be in a quiet, pensive mood this morning, but his clipped answers were beginning to annoy me. Not wanting to appear rude, I gave up any further attempts to make conversation. I was thinking only of myself and my problems, forgetting that he, too, could be occupied with problems of his own. But then again, he shouldn’t have any problems, not with the type of information and power he seemed to possess. He broke into my thoughts saying, “Even God has problems. It’s the way one goes about solving them that’s interesting.” “God shouldn’t haveproblems, Gideon. I mean, it doesn’t make sense. God can do anything.” “True, but even God doesn’t like boredom. To exist without challenges would be boredom at its ultimate.” He became quiet again, so I left him to his thoughts for a while. The drive wasn’t too unpleasant. Usually, I don’t like driving into the Big City. Being there is one thing, but trying to get there is quite another. There are few things more unpleasant than being stuck in traffic for hours. A flock of gulls had been flying above and to the front of the car since we left the parking lot. To amuse myself, I counted them. There were seven. The freedom of flight, I thought. Gideon broke the silence. “A flock of gulls by day and a pillar of fire by night,” he said. “What?” “The ancient Israelites, you know, were led in their wanderings in the wilderness by a cloud by day and a pillar of fire by night.” “Three cheers for the Israelites,” I mumbled, again having no idea of what he was talking about. Power of conversational hypnosis course in depth review what s it all about igor ledochowski

As you search for hypnosis products online, you'll notice at least one recurring theme: virtually all reviewers highly recommend the Power of Conversational Hypnosis Course. In fact, not only do hypnosis reviewers rate it highly, but Doctors, Psychiatrists, and respected hypnotists claim that it is the #1 hypnosis product on the market. And they have good reason to say this: not only is it an excellent, well-developed course, but it clearly and cleanly teaches laymen to perform hypnotic feats in their day-to-day experience that few experts would think are possible. The Power of Conversational Hypnosis Course, created by Igor Ledochowski is both a study in how to harness the power of the psyche to achieve results and a process of learning a great deal about what shapes your own view of the world and how you relate to it. One of the things that makes Conversational Hypnosis Course such a great program is that there is something for just about everyone. Salespeople will be thrilled with the information that focuses on using conversations to get people to open up and provide valuable detail about what they want and need in the products they purchase. People who are tired of having to deal with office know-it-all types will delight in the processes that can help balance the flow of conversation around the water cooler. Customer Relations professionals will gain valuable insights into how both verbal and non-verbal communication methods in order to calm an irate customer, and lead the client to a resolution that is workable for everyone. Igor Ledochowski does this by using a step by step approach to learning about hypnosis. The first session, entitled The Power of Conversational Hypnosis helps the student to get rid of some of the more common misconceptions about hypnosis, as well as learn the basic truths about the science. Hypnotic Language Foundations are addressed in the third session, providing insight into how to mesmerize people into being receptive to your ideas and verbal pronouncements. Tools that help you deal with resistance are simple and straightforward in presentation. This session puts across the point that it is possible to capture the attention and support of people, even if there is initially not much interest in what you have to say. Few courses are able to explain this topic as well as Igor has in his excellent work. Session Five introduces the role of emotional triggers into the mix, calling into attention the way that many people create visual images that provide form and substance to their perception of the world. Reshaping those mental images can also mean changing the way someone reacts to what you want them to do. Emotional triggers are one means of shaping those images to your advantage. There are in total twelve well-organized sessions which make it possible for the eager student to progress through a process that establishes a foundation for participating in the program, and logically builds on the initial concept. The sessions are available on CD and can also be downloaded for storage on a hard drive. Unlike many other hypnosis audios, which are scratchy and hard to listen to, Igor's work is studio quality. Here are some of the topics covered in this course: • Hypnosis Trance Formulas - Getting What You Want • The "Amnesia Technique". How you can make people forget problems and complications. • How To Deal Directly With The Unconscious Mind • The Authority Strategy - Tactics To Ensure Success • Learn the amazing "60 Second Hypnotist" exercise. • Beyond Rapport & Signal Recognition Systems • How To Irresistibly Lead Any Interaction • Emotional Triggers: Controlling Inner Pictures And Feelings • And Much More... Whether you're a budding hypnotist, an expert hypnotist, a car salesman, a shy accountant, or a desk clerk, you will find something useful in this course that you can use to gain leverage in personal relationships and in business. As a comprehensive study of what hypnosis is, and how it can be applied to your best advantage, the Power of Conversational Hypnosis Course by Hypnotist Igor Ledochowski, is easily one of the best hypnosis programs on the market today.

Work life balance making every day sacred

So many of us rush blindly through our days, fall into bed exhausted, and wake up the next morning to do it all over again. For many of us, our lives are composed of millions of meaningless moments, all strung together - perhaps with a sprinkling of sacred moments mixed in. I'm sure you can think of a few sacred moments in your own life. Maybe your marriage, the birth of your child(ren), or perhaps a heartfelt moment of connection with a good friend. These are the moments when we are consumed with joy and awe. At these moments, we are fully present in the moment. We aren't worrying about tomorrow, or trying to rush through the experience to get to the next. We are in the now, and the now is amazing. However, why do we wait for major events to honor these sacred moments? Why can't every day be sacred? Every moment? Each moment is sacred - if we decide to make it that way. I stated above that our lives are filled with meaningless moments, but those moments are meaningless only because we don't honor them. We are hurrying along, focused on other things, not stopping to notice them at all. They come and go without so much as an acknowledgement from us. Honoring the sacred means simply choosing to make each moment count. It is a tiny shift in perception that assigns meaning and importance to each moment. It means stopping to notice the beauty and love around us, and within us. It means being fully present in each moment, because only the present moment truly exists. So many of us worry about the future, hold regrets about the past, and completely ignore the present. When we give the now our full attention, even mundane tasks can take on an aura of holiness. Then our lives become millions of meaningful moments. Nothing has changed except our perception, but it makes all the difference. So how do we change our perception to one of sacredness? What does it mean to stay in the present moment? Let's use an example: washing dishes. When most of us wash dishes, we hurry through it, often thinking about the million other things we need to get done that day (or the next day). Our minds are scattered all over the place, focusing on everything but what we are doing. Who can blame us? Washing dishes is not the most exciting experience. However, if we choose to make it a sacred experience, we will want to focus on it. We want to take our time and really pay attention to how the water feels on our hands, how the soap cleanses away the grease and grime, and the sense of satisfaction we get as each dish moves from the dirty pile to the strainer, now clean and shiny. Maybe that still doesn't sound very thrilling. Let's look at what else is happening. As we give our full attention to washing the dishes, we are not only "doing," we are BEING. Ah, that is the key. It doesn't matter what we're doing or not doing in each moment of our lives, it matters only that we become aware of our own state of Being. In those moments, we are fully alive and conscious. We are connected to everything, and we are One with everything. We ARE. Have you ever heard the term, "walking meditation?" This can be great practice to help you honor the sacred in your own life. Many of us walk for health or recreation, but we can also walk for spiritual awareness. A walking meditation is a slow, focused walk where you give your full attention to each step you take, the feel of your muscles working, your breathing, and even your surroundings. Especially if you walk someplace in nature, a place with lots of trees and wildlife. The trick is to not let your mind wander, but stay focused on the now. It can take practice, but once you accomplish it, your life will never be the same. Imagine living a full, meaningful life. Imagine miracles happening all around you. Imagine being filled with awe and gratitude each day, and laying down to sleep each night feeling peaceful and relaxed. You can. If you choose it.

Implication of the lunar eclipse march 3 2007

We will have the first lunar eclipse of 2007 on March 3 at approximately 1120 GMT. This eclipse will not be visible in most of the United States. On the East Coast of the United States the penumbra will be visible. In this eclipse the sun will be in Aquarius and the moon in Leo. The sun (ego / Atman) is in place of self-doubt, leading to humility (Aquarius). The moon (Heart / emotions), is in place of self-confidence and projection (Leo). Yet both of these energies are eclipsed by the luminaries. We are being challenged to universalize our personal power, and orient our consistent actions toward a goal that is beneficial to all. Maintaining our self-esteem and a healthy emotional outlook while willingly subjugating our personal desires is being tested. This brings many possibilities in romantic relationships, because much of the time it is our selfish nature that eclipses our partner’s needs, and the relationship itself. In this eclipse, the ego is being eclipsed in the sign where we doubt our personal power, seeking humility. The nurturing and tender heart is being eclipsed in the sign where we generally assert our individual power. Culturally, this eclipse is a foreshadowing of the next six months, where we will be tested to subjugate our personal needs for more progressive causes and humanistic ones. Perhaps we will finally decided not to eat animals simply because they taste good — perhaps we will decide that we can actually ride our bike or walk somewhere rather than waste gasoline. Perhaps we will become more efficient in recycling. Perhaps we will decide the only turn the water on when we need to wash off the toothbrush, rather than leave it running needlessly, mindlessly. Perhaps will turn the light off after we leave the room, etc. Bringing complexity to this mix is a retrograde Mercury joined the sun. There are some real possibilities for communication mishaps that force these personal and social compromises. In fact, we may be seeing the effects of this placement already. Generally the entire month of an eclipse cycle begins a foreshadowing of the major themes. Notice the stock market “corrected” itself last week and most shocking of all, Brittany Spears finally checked into rehab. (Then checked out again, or at least that’s according to “People”, “Entertainment Tonight” had a different story — and yes does this mean K-Fed gets the kids now?) oh yes, perhaps we will stop paying attention to silly celebrities and there lives and start paying attention to our own life, spiritual progress and problems. This eclipse is happening with two exulted planets, Mars and Venus which also foretells in importance on personal issues for the next six months — in particular, strengthening both our masculine and feminine natures. Having the courage to know what to fight for and when (Mars) and how to fight and why (Venus) will also be issues on the table. Natural Disasters This particular eclipse also has the ominous possibility of some natural disasters. As with all full moons especially, earthquakes and seismic activity increases around these times. Notice on the south Indian chart to the right, retrograde Saturn and Mars are both very close to the eclipse axis, right next to it. If you visualize the earth in the middle of this chart, you’ll see every planet except Jupiter and Venus are either joined the sun and moon or in the adjacent sign. In this case there are three planets on one side of the earth and four planets on the other side of the earth. Each of them asserting their gravitational force in opposite directions. This gravitational force tends to open the tectonic plates in the earth’s crust, which leads to seismic activity. This weekend we could see some major seismic activity: earthquakes, volcanoes, etc.

Bittersweet when bad comes along with the good

In life, there are cycles of good and bad. Times when our lives seem joyful and easy, and times when we're struggling through what seem like endless difficulties. Then there are times when the two seem to co-mingle. These are the times I call bittersweet. Perhaps you've had a bittersweet period in your own life? Usually it begins with something wonderful, followed immediately by something awful. You get a great promotion at work, then your spouse loses his or her job. Or you finally start making progress on your new fitness regime, and you pull a muscle, putting you out of commission for a week or two. A new baby is born into your family, and then a loved one passes away suddenly (or sometimes not so suddenly). Currently, I find myself in a bittersweet period of my own. My husband and I recently purchased our first home. This has been a dream of ours for years, and we've worked hard to make it happen. Finally the dream came true, and we moved into our new home less than two weeks ago, eager to begin a new phase of our lives. Then the hammer dropped. In the same week, we received news that two family members have been diagnosed with cancer. My husband's uncle, and my mother (who also just moved into our new home with us). During the years I'd fantasized about what it would be like to have our dream of homeownership come true, I never expected a dark shadow to be cast over the joy of our new situation. Somehow, I thought it would be smooth sailing once the hard work was done and we achieved our goal. For the first few days after we received the bad news, I felt somewhat indignant toward the powers that be. Why now? Why couldn't we just enjoy the experience of our new home ownership, and deal with the bad stuff later? Yes, I admit, such thoughts are selfish, not to mention futile. Life doesn't work like that, and the universe doesn't revolve around our wishes. There will always be difficulties to work through, regardless of what else is happening in our lives at the time. We simply have to carry on, because there is nothing else to do. Still, I felt like a petulant child, pouting because pain, fear, and uncertainty had chosen this moment to knock on our door. A few nights later I was feeling restless, unable to concentrate on anything. I was afraid for my loved ones, worried that the cancer may have spread, wondering what was going to happen. Finally I decided to sort through some still-unpacked boxes to take my mind off my worries. It was late and the house was silent and still when I crept out to the garage. I began quietly sorting through a box of miscellaneous items when a wave of weariness came over me, and I sat down heavily on a folding chair to collect my thoughts. In the grip of despair, I reached out with my heart and mind to the universe, seeking, asking for...somethingfort? Strength? Reassurance? Guidance? I don't even know what I needed at that moment, I just reached out wordlessly from my soul, hoping to get a response that made everything all right again. Suddenly my attention was pulled to an item resting just inside the top of the box I had been sorting through. It was the corner of a greeting card I had tossed into the box in the haste of packing. I reached out and pulled on the corner of the card, and as it emerged from the box, I saw that the front of it featured a bouquet of flowers and the words, "thank you". A flood of warmth washed over me then, flowing through every fiber of my being, clearing my mind, lifting my heart, refreshing my spirit. Yes. THANK YOU! That was the answer I had been seeking. There, in the cool, quiet garage, I finally understood that the dark shadow that had been cast over our lives didn't have to blot out our joy. Do we despair when clouds blot out the brilliance of the sun? No. We simply continue on with our lives, working, playing, laughing, loving. The bitter CAN co-exist with the sweet. I realized that it's a matter of perspective, as are so many things in life. It's true that bitterness has the power to taint sweetness, but it's also true that sweetness can ease the intensity of bitterness. It just depends on which angle you focus on. Thankfully, the universe found a way to remind me that I have a choice, and I began focusing more on gratitude and joy again. The next morning, my husband and I had some errands to run, and as we drove along a street we've traveled numerous times, I saw a side street that I'd never noticed before. I glanced up at the sign and saw that the street name was "Bittersweet Lane." Honestly, it didn't look like a bad place to live. :-)
